Centennial Car & Truck Rentals

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF RENTAL AGREEMENT

Reservation:

You will receive a confirmation email upon booking a vehicle through our website. Once we have secured a vehicle, we will contact you with the next steps. We do our best to ensure a vehicle for every reservation, but sometimes, during peak months, we may be completely booked.

Vehicle:

The term “vehicle” includes tires, tools, keys, equipment, accessories, and documents.

Drivers:

All drivers must be listed on the Agreement, be at least 21, and hold a valid driver’s license. Unauthorized drivers void the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Centennial may accept drivers over 18 under certain conditions.

Use of Vehicle:

The vehicle must be used with care. Centennial may repossess it if it is misused or abandoned. All occupants must wear seatbelts.

Prohibited Use:

Prohibited uses include:

    • Driving on unpaved roads
    • Violating laws
    • Driving under the influence
    • Using the vehicle for hire
    • Speeding or racing
    • Driving outside the rental province without consent
    • Towing
    • Tampering with the odometer
    • Transporting hazardous materials
    • Neglecting maintenance
    • Subletting the vehicle
    • Abandoning the vehicle
    • Obtaining the vehicle through fraud
    • Violating the Agreement

Return of Vehicle:

The vehicle must be returned to the agreed date and location. Late returns may incur fees. After-hours or airport returns are at the renter’s risk until inspected.

Rental Charges:

The renter is responsible for all charges, including time and mileage, CDW, optional coverage, additional products and services, fuel, taxes, and fees. Charges may be adjusted after the rental. The renter authorizes charges to their credit card and is responsible for unpaid balances.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):

CDW is optional and charged daily. It is not insurance. Accepting CDW limits the renter’s liability for damage, as outlined in the Agreement.

Damage or Loss:

With CDW, the renter’s liability is limited to the deductible, except in Agreement violations. Without CDW, the renter is fully responsible for all damage or loss.

Accidents:

Accidents must be reported to the police and Centennial within 24 hours. The renter must cooperate with investigations.

Liability Insurance:

Drivers are covered for liability up to $1,000,000 per accident. Accidents must be reported within 24 hours.

Indemnity:

The renter will indemnify and hold Centennial harmless from all rental and vehicle use claims.

Fines and Expenses:

The renter is responsible for all fines, tolls, and related charges.

Breakdown and Repairs:

The renter may authorize repairs up to $75 with reimbursement. Repairs over $75 require Centennial’s authorization.

Personal Property:

Centennial is not responsible for lost or damaged personal property.

Amendment to Agreement:

Changes must be in writing and signed by both parties.
